What is a ZIP file? A zip file is a compressed file format, commonly created by programs such as WinZip. Compressing or Zipping a file often makes it smaller and easier to download.
How can I use it? The file must first be decompressed. You then have an exact copy of the original file, or files as the case may be.
If you are running Windows Vista, there is built in file decompression. Just open the file, Windows will ask you if you want to extract it, or right click the file and choose the extraction or decompression option.
If you have no file compressor or decompressor, you can download Winzip, or WinRar for Windows, or Suffitt Expander for the Mac.
